    Can I offer a suggestion for your 'View your notice' box. Every time the page loads your making that Ajax request, which you may have heard, we have to be careful how many we make, because of Forumotion limits.

    You have this code in a SCRIPT tag underneath the notice box:
    Code:

    $('#noticer').load('/search?search_id=newposts .frm-form .main-content');
    I think you should remove it from there. And put it inside the ONCLICK of the 'view your notices' button.

    Why? Because then the Ajax request is only made when the person clicks the 'view your notices' button. So if they never click it, then the request is never made and we save ourselves a LOT of requests to the server.

    This is a good way of controlling the Ajax use on FM. My forum AvacWeb uses LOOOADS of Ajax for a variety of things, but It never hits the request limit like other forums do, why? Because its all controlled and only done when needed ;)

    Nothing, I'm offering a suggestion for improvement which will better the boards performance and prevent you getting that dreaded 'request limit' message.

    Oh thanks... Well do you know how to add the notices:
    You're account has been reported and you have new messages on the wall ?

    I'd really recommend making that change above. Especially if your going to be adding more Ajax features on your board.

    I know how to do wall messages. But what do you mean your account has been reported?

    Like a warn system... If you do something wrong I report your account (as a warn) and I say "you did SPAM: 1st Warn"

    Well, can you tell me how to add wall notices? :)
    And I didn't understand the changes above :(

    I edited this post: http://codes.forumotion.pro/t389-the-most-important-stuff#1820 to hopefully make it clearer. :bene:

    Wall messages would currently be impossible since you don't have them activated :P
    But if you activate them I'll be able to take a look.

    For the warn system, I'll do some research and get back to you.
